Hmm......take a close look at the eyes and the ears, neither are in focus. The ears are not so important but the eyes are. You have shot at a very wide open aperture, a couple of stops more would have given you just the right dof to keep the eyes in the region of sharpness. I'd hazard a guess that the camera was set to auto focus and hence fixed on the spectacles, switching to manual would allow you to control this better and shift the focal plane a little further back.
However, the concept is good, and I can see you had plenty of abundant light from that large window behind you.

That's a good point. I'll reshoot this and try to get the focus better. I DID autofucos and wanted the short DOF and only noticed here eyes were soft when I posted it here. I'll try for a bit wider and get closer. This is a crop from a much larger full headshot. Thanks! :)
Following up on Curly's comment, I find tha hardest thing to do is shoot through glass. Between the AF and reflections--it's hard to get the shot you want.
The eyes arent in focus, the ears arent in focus, what's next? The color is missing? This is an awesome shot period. There are no rules in photography, eyes don't always have to be in focus, the other commenter failed to notice that the glasses ARE in focus... and those glasses make make the shot. Great shot, great face, great glasses, great crop, great dof, great tack sharp focus (on the glasses).
