I stumbled across this when working with my geneology as I was told my great great grandfather was the contractor for the building. He was a faithful mason himself and was a well known and respected masonry contractor in the 1800's in Bangor. His name was Daniel H. Fernald. It is sad that we no longer have even a photo of this work of his in its prime. Your photo, however is remarkable and shows the majesty of the building. Thank you.
